February 26, 1944 - November 17, 2022

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our loving husband, dad, and grandpa. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Lloyd managed his short courageous battle with cancer with strength and grace and wanted to spend his remaining time with his loved ones. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children, who he adored more than anything else in the world.
Dad loved and was loved by his devoted wife of 58 years, Phyllis; children, Cheryl (Kevin), Michael (Kerri), and Tracy (Marc); and cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Bradley, Brooke, Nolan, Maya, and Marisa.
Our dad, Lloyd, is going to be missed deeply and it is hard to capture his entire life in just a few words. Through sharing fond memories and laughter, his life will forever live in the deepest chambers of our heart.
The family would like to express a heart-felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and aides on the 6th floor at the St. Boniface Hospital.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral; instead, a private family gathering will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Lloyd Cottes to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

  • My sincere condolences to You Phyllis, your family and all other friends who will also miss this great guy. I met Lloyd and Phyllis in Sun Rise Village in Mesa several years ago. I might have frightened them as they ran in, pulled their blinds and locked the doors to protect themselves from the "crazy" lady next door. But that was short lived as we became good friends...along with my sister Del, and her husband Wayne...In Wayne Lloyd met his match , and they had a special relationship...sparring with smart remarks !!! Lloyd, you will be so missed...but better persons to have known you... Take care Dear Phyllis and Hang in There !!!.Love from Myrt. - Posted by: Myrt Foster (Friend) on: Nov 26, 2022
