LORRAINE JOSEPHINE CYR
October 24, 1935 November 20, 2022
With heavy and loving hearts, we announce that Lorraine passed away peacefully with family at her side at Riverview Health Center at the age of 87.
Lorraine is survived by her four sons, Joe (Dawn), Gary (Joanne), Tom (Cathy) and Terry (Cindy); seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; extended family and a wide group of loving, caring friends. She adored her family and was loved and revered by them as she touched and impacted them in such a profound and positive way. Her family was her source of greatest pride and joy.
Lorraine was a remarkable and resilient woman, noted for her legendary work ethic, meticulous approach to everything she did and giving, caring spirit. She will be remembered for her inner strength and resolve as she overcame the many obstacles and setbacks that came her way. She just powered through it all and was a tower of strength and source of inspiration.
She loved the business she started late in her 50s, Pay'N'Less Tax and her hundreds of clients that she served so well. Many became close friends over the years. She was a breast cancer survivor and gave back to fight cancer in a big way through the gift-wrapping service she ran at Kildonan Place for many years and her Bouncing Beauties team.
A photo-biography tribute video, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew her are available at EthicalDeathCare.com.
A brief service will be held at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Avenue in Winnipeg at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday December 14, followed by a reception in the church hall to remember her life and wonderful legacy. All are welcome.

Terry. It has been a long time however when I learned of the passing of your amazing Mom I had to reach out. My sincerest condolences to you and the family. Take care. - Posted by: Barry Guindon (An old friend) on: Dec 02, 2022
I will miss Lorraine immensely. As a friend, a client and a proud member of the "Bouncing Beauties" I got to know and appreciate her feistiness and resolute commitment to whatever she took on. I have now realized that I will meet very few people in my lifetime like Lorraine. Paula and I can only speak in the loftiest terms whenever we think of Lorraine. I met Lorraine well over 20 years ago as a volunteer with the Bouncin’ Beauties at the gift wrapping station at Kildonan Place Mall. She was so dedicated to this project and made it so enjoyable to volunteer. I have missed this since COVID and will miss Lorraine very much. To her family and friends my deepest condolences. Rest well Lorraine. - Posted by: Rose Passante (Colleague and volunteer) on: Nov 26, 2022
