It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Archie at the age of 89.
Survived by loving wife Evelyn, of 60 years and daughters Nancy (Dean) and Natalie (George) and three grandchildren, Michael, Bradley and Stephanie, of whom he was very proud of their achievements. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Violet Davidson.

Condolences & Memories (13 entries)

  • Evelyn, Nancy, Natalie and family, I was so sorry to read of Archie’s passing. On behalf of my mom Mary and sister Sheryl we would like to offer our condolences. I so enjoyed our last visit when you both attended my mom’s 90th birthday. Archie was a good neighbour and gentle, happy soul. Thinking of you all. • So sorry for your loss, Evelyn. What a lovely guy Archie was. I loved chatting with him in the back lane or on the sidewalk and, particularly, during those great block parties on Yale Avenue. He had a wonderful wry sense of humour. I recall, at one block party when I mistakenly introduced him to a new neighbour as "Charlie Davidson". WIthout blinking, he said to the fellow, "But you can just call me Archie... since that's my name." And sent me a mischievous smile. He'll be sorely missed. - Posted by: Mark O'Neill (Former neighbour) on: Dec 01, 2022

  • So sorry to hear of the passing of a great friend and Shriner. Our thoughts are with you Evelyn at this most difficult time. We first meet Archie when I'll Sir Howard Law and Lady Betty asked us to co Chair the 100th Anniversary Committee. We meet Archie for the first time and every good thing the Potentate said about Archie and Lady Evelyn were dead on and we were so very fortunate to have them join our committee. Always there to assist us in any way, shape or form. Arch was an absolute true gentleman and a giant of a man. His presence will be truly missed in Khartum and especially in his own unit. Rest in Peace Archie and God Bless you and Evelyn thanks again for all the volunteer work you completed for the 100th Anniversary Committee Keith and Donna Phillips - Posted by: Keith & Donna Phillips (Shrine Friends) on: Nov 30, 2022

  • Archie Davidson, was one of a kind! His smile and demeanour was one most people will remember about him and endeavour to copy. He was kind, gracious and always able to place others at ease, and never complained about his own issues and problems. If you needed anything, he was always there to help. Evelyn, I am so very sorry for your loss, and will miss him as well very much. - Posted by: Harry Rosenbaum (Friend and Masonic Brother) on: Nov 29, 2022

  • We are very sorry to hear of Archie's passing and send our condolences to his family. We were pleased to know Archie briefly when we purchased our home from he and his wife. I remember we kept their Boler in the garage for a year. He was a gentle and kind man. We are still at 186 and have been happy here for nearly 40 years. Please know that we are thinking of you, Evelyn and wish you peace. Sincerely, Samantha and Peter - Posted by: Samantha Atkinson and Peter Johnson (friend) on: Nov 26, 2022
