RONALD HUGH JONES
February 6, 1950 November 16, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ron on November 16, 2022.
Ron was predeceased by his father Herbert; twin brother Ralph and nephew Michael. He is survived by his wife Gloria Dutchuk; daughter Alexandra; mother Doris and brother Glenn (Anne); as well as nephews, Matthew, Cameron and his niece Lindsey.
Ron worked several years at MTS before moving to Marmon Keystone where he retired in 2005. Ron was an avid golfer and a member of several golf courses in Manitoba, most recent Glendale.
After travelling to Europe, Mexico and Eastern Canada, we purchased a winter home in Mesa, Arizona where he enjoyed his passion for golf and got his one and only hole in one. Ron loved his time in Mesa, meeting new friends and from his porch becoming the unofficial park greeter.
Ron was a loving supportive husband and a wonderful dad.
As per Ron's wishes, cremation has taken place with no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
"No longer by our side but
forever in our hearts."

Condolences & Memories (11 entries)
Ron was a great guy, we will all miss him. Growing up, Ron was always around. He would take us out in cool cars, which always liked to brag about. We had lots of laughs and have lots of memories. Ron, Ralph, Chuck (dad) are all together again, we miss them all. - Posted by: Mark Balmer (Cousin ) on: Dec 01, 2022
Gloria and Alex... We are so very saddened to hear about Ron. We have such fond memories of entering SSV's back gate and driving by your house to see if the Gate Keeper was at his post. Lots of time was spent talking with Ron, (while we sat in our car as he was looked down from his perch on your sundeck), ensuring that he was keeping SSV safe. It was the highlight of our day during the winters we spent at SSV. Our thoughts go out to you both. We are sure The Gate Keeper is continuing to do his job elsewhere. Ron will be greatly missed at his winter home in Arizona by his many friends there. He was our 'official' gate keeper..greeting all who drove or walked by. Bob will miss golfing with him.
