Centenarian 1917 - 2022
November 22 in her 106th year at Chartwell Wynfield LTC Nursing Home in Oshawa, ON.
Living so independently into her 104th year, adjusting to immobility was to be a challenge for Anne. She and late husband Michael Black (1993) were born in Winnipeg, MB but left behind Brooklands, Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church and beloved family, relocating to Oshawa with their first-born son.
Anne is forever the mother of Kenneth (the late Carol), Carol Smart (Bill) and Michael Jr. (Anne); aunt of Barbara Damant (Lance); grandmother of four; great-grandmother of five.
In Oshawa, Anne was a serving and long-time member of her Ukrainian church and community efforts. Her witty and determined self will be missed.
Anne is interred at St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Cemetery, Courtice, ON.
