1929 - 2022
It is with deep sadness that the family of Mona Lanthier announce her passing on November 24, 2022 at the age of 93 years.
She will be greatly missed by her son Rob, wife Jill and their sons, Marc (Kim) and Shane (Taryn); her son Richard and his daughter Leah and her granddaughter Irene. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mona was predeceased by her loving husband Rollie; son Randy; parents, Robert and Agnes Bell; as well as brothers, Robert, Bruce and Angus and sister Mary and her nephew Robbie.
Mona spent her whole life in Winnipeg, the great majority in St. Vital. She enjoyed her daily walks through the community and nearby parks and was passionate about her work in the yard and garden.
The family would like to express its immense gratitude to the nurses and staff of Oakview Place in Winnipeg for their kindness and compassionate care of Mona for the past year.
Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Mona's wishes, "I'm not having any darn funeral."

Mona along with her husband Rollie were inseparable. They sat in the breezeway together and worked in their yard together. Their vegetable and flower gardens were their pride and joy. As a neighbour, it was wonderful to enjoy their beautiful yard from afar. You would be hard done by to match their work ethic! We have missed their presence as next door neighbours for a few years now but have such warm memories. I remember Mrs Lanthier well from our growing up years on Victoria Row. One of the hardest working ladies, always outside tending to her gardend and yard. My sincere condolenceto Rob and Richard on your Mom's passing. I haven't run into the boys out here in Alberta for a long time. Take care.
