WENDELL ROBERT SMITH
(Strong Lightning Man)
October 9, 1973 - November 24, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wendell Robert Smith, aka Jazz.
Wendell leaves to mourn his mother Mina; his brothers and sisters, Beverly, Carl, Clarence, Marvin, Glenda, Gerald, Marlene, Kelvin, Deborah, and Emery; numerous nieces and nephews; his sons, Simon and Trey.
He was a gifted artisan making beautiful dreamcatchers that found their way around the world. He was most proud that his work was gifted to a delegation of Chinese officials by the University of Winnipeg.
Wendell was predeceased by his father, Lawrence (Happy) Smith and his brother Raymond (Satch).
A service to honour his life will take place on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk Manitoba.
