June 23, 1962 - December 2, 2022
Survived by loving wife, Debra (Deb) (nee Collins); children, Katelyn (Katie, age 27), and Parker (age 25 ½); sister, Jodie Thiessen (Al Harper); sister-in-law, Robyn; niece Briya, and nephew Lev Shapiro; uncle Harry and Aunt Elvira Finnigan; Deb's mother, Helen Collins; and family. Predeceased by mom, Joan and dad, John (Peter); little brother Jay Shapiro; and Deb's father Doyle Collins.
John was born in Winnipeg and met his wife Deb in Edmonton. The family moved to the Banff and Canmore area of Alberta and later to Kelowna, BC.
