MARK ROBERT BIRD
February 10, 1961 - December 6, 2022

After two years of cancer, Mark has gone Home to be with the Lord.
He is loved and remembered by his family and community for his generosity and humour. His love of family and the value he placed on frequent gatherings have been passed down to his children. His generosity was expressed in part by regularly driving family to events and sports, as well as clearing snow from the sidewalk in front of his community church.
Mark is survived by his wife Lisa, mother Edith, sons, Joshua and Kennedy (Chantel), daughters, Laura (Dustin) and Katherine (Trevor), grandchildren, Karmyn, Charlie, Mary, Sophia and Evelyn, sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to thank Mark's home care nurses, Dr. Graham and the staff at Stonewall & District Health Centre for their wonderful care.
A funeral will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

  • Our prayers are with you all at this time. After hearing of Mark’s passing I kept remembering him as a young boy and his love of Batman & Robin. My Mom, his Auntie Isobel, always loved telling the a story of how he once thought he could be like Batman and run up the tree. He couldn’t of course, and got all scratched up in the process. She would laugh so hard telling that story. It brought back memories of my mom and Mark, keeping them both here once again. - Posted by: Kathy Molinski (Cousin) on: Dec 10, 2022

  • We are saddened to hear of Mark's passing. We will miss his humour and quoting of Monty Python movies. He will be missed and our condolences go out to Lisa, and his family, - Posted by: Pam Rob Dufreane (Friends) on: Dec 10, 2022
