September 6, 1927 - December 8, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan, our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the Selkirk Hospital, with her loving family at her side at the age of 95 years.
Joan will be sadly missed by her daughter Anne Courage (Robert Gillespie); son Jim McCarthy (Darlene Magas); son Dennis (Heidi) McCarthy; grandchildren, Drew, Marnie, Ryan, Meaghan, Bohdan, Katie, Joshua, Patrick and their families. She will also be lovingly remembered be her special friend Frank George.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles McCarthy; second husband Stephen Warrener and her dear daughter Patricia McCarthy.
A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent in Oakbank. Donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Selkirk General Hospital Palliative Care or to a charity of your choice.
