June 30, 1941 - December 4, 2022
It is with shattered hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, dad and papa.
Surrounded by his family holding his hands and his heart, Garry left us at 6:20 p.m., December 4, 2022.
Garry leaves to mourn his wife, Janet; son, Dan (Lisa); daughter, Carolyne (Larry); grandsons, Colton (Brandi), Kyle, (Celine), Landon and Dawson, great-grandson Ryker, great-granddaughter Skyler and his much-loved dog Allie. Also left to mourn his passing are sister-in-law Kathy (Willie); and nephew Tyler, sisters, Lundi (Ed), Hilda, Lil, Erna and numerous nephews and nieces.
Of German descent, Garry was born in Poland on June 30, 1941. He moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1949. He married Janet on August 8, 1964 and they raised two children, Carolyne and Dan.
Garry loved his work as an electrician, working for a few companies, owned his own business, Thomas Repair Service and retired from Lifetouch Canada.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.

Janet, Carolyne, Dan, and families: I was so sorry to hear about Garry’s passing, and send sincere condolences for your loss. If only love could cure all ills, but sadly life doesn’t work that way. Garry will always be with you, in your heart, a part of everything you do, and his love will comfort you in those times when you need him the most.
