FRANK GRAY

With immense gratitude that we were able to see our brother again, we announce the sudden passing of Frank David Allan Gray on August 11, 2022. He was predeceased by his father, Allan Hudson Gray.
Warm thanks to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service officers who valiantly refused to give up on our brother when his chances looked grim. Thank you to the doctors and nurses on the Palliative ward at the St. Boniface Hospital who cared for him with kindness and sensitivity.
Frank was born on April 13, 1958 in Winnipeg, but he also lived with his family in both Thunder Bay and Stratford, Ontario. He spent idyllic times fishing with his dad and big brother at Ottermere Lake in Northwestern Ontario, and on family camping trips at Rushing River. These were times that brought all of us joy and we were thrilled to reminisce with him in his final days.
He was a dear, sweet man, who despite many difficulties, exuded goodness. His love of animals and nature further attests to this. Frankie was our darling brother. We are grateful we got to look into his warm grey eyes, hear his gentle voice, and tell him we loved him before he had to go. These moments were a great gift that allowed love and healing back into our family.
Frank is survived by his sister Carolyn Gray (Ronald Moore), brothers, Brian Gray (Denise, and sons, Jason and Nicholas), Glen Gray (Barbara, and sons, Gryphon and Drayke), and mother Marion Evelyn Gray.

  • My sincerest condolences to Frank’s family and friends. I worked with Frank at Via Rail starting in the late 80’s. Spent many hours waiting for late trains. He was a quiet, gentle man, always friendly and willing to offer a helping hand to everyone. Always had a kind word and never said a bad thing about anyone. It was a pleasure to know him. RIP Frank. - Posted by: Veronica Horner (Coworker ) on: Feb 01, 2023
