FREDERICK JOSEPH GLASS
April 28, 1976 - October 2, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Fred at his residence in Surrey, BC, at the age of 46. He was buried in Winnipeg on October 9, 2022 at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.
He was loved and will be missed by all his friends and family, many of whom flew to Winnipeg for the funeral.
Fred is survived by his parents, Dianne and Matthew Glass; sister Michelle Glass and brother-in-law Roni Estein; nieces, Miriam and Gabrielle and nephew Saully; aunt Rochelle Moss and family; uncle Jim Ross of Gimli; cousins, Ava Glass of Toronto and family and Richard Glass and family of Florida. Fred is also survived by his longtime companion, Angelina Carter and their pet dog Mango.
Fred was a resident of BC for the past 15 years. Being an adventurous and curious individual, Fred loved to travel which included many regions in India, China, Ukraine and Europe. His annual visits to Mexico to visit with parents were always at the top of his list. He was an avid car collector and was often found in his garages at all hours working on them.
The Glass family would like to thank the pallbearers, friends from Calgary and Vancouver who attended the funeral. We also extend our thanks to all who graciously gave our family support by way of meals, donations to charities and condolences at this extremely difficult time. A special thank you to Rabbi Matthew Leibl for his eulogy of Fred that described how Fred lived his life so accurately and heartfelt.
