MARCEL JACQUES
October 1, 1934 – December 5, 2022


It is with heavy hearts, that we announce that our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Marcel Jacques, 88, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Health Sciences Centre with family by his side.
Beloved husband to Monique (Manaigre) for over 64 years. Loving father to Jeannine (Geoffrey), Alain (Elizabeth), Donald (Anita), Richard (Lynne) and Martial (Danièle); grandfather to Mathieu (Rachelle), Alanna (Vir), Christiane (Brent), Chantal (Rob), Jordan (Caitlin), Jenica (Cole) and Monica-Claire; great-grandfather to Tianna, Ophélie, Rowan, Téo, Sydney, Parker, Nathan, Harrison, and Maisie. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Thérèse, Jeanne (Émile) and Lucille; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette (Adrien), Guy (Denise), Fred (Claire) and Ghislaine.
Predeceased by his parents, Annie and Edmond; sisters and brothers, Yvonne, Arthur, Alphonse (Thérèse) and Eugène (Blanche); parents-in-law, Almanzor and Marguerite; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denis, Marie-Reine (Valance), Simone (Celestin), André and Albert.
Marcel was born in St. Claude, Manitoba. As a young man he worked on the dew line in the Arctic. Soon after he met his wife and they were married in September 1958. He spent most of his adult life in the trucking industry. Throughout his life, he travelled extensively, enjoyed camping with his family, and loved to dance whenever possible.
Our family would like to thank everyone for the wonderful and caring support we have received during this difficult time.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on December 20, 2022 at St. Eugene Parish, 1009 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, MB.
Masks are mandatory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in memory of Marcel.
