FRED MUSHEY

Fred passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022 at the age of 83 years.
He is survived by his son Jonathan; his grandchildren, Tyler and Alexis; his sister Lilian; his nephew and niece Nicky and Denise and their children.
He was raised on a farm near Angusville, Manitoba with his two siblings, Nicholas and Lilian. He went to work for several years in various different mines across Canada, mining everything from Nickel to Uranium before deciding to pursue his college education, culminating in the successful achievement of two trades.
After deciding to settle in Winnipeg in his chosen profession of Power Engineer, he had his son Jonathan, whom was always the apple of his eye. He was an avid traveller who went to Europe several times on extensive trips, also keeping ties with his extended family in the Ukraine.
His retirement and golden years were peaceful and quiet, he delighted in the simple sights and sounds of nature, enjoying the passing breeze on a summer day, a chipmunk chittering nearby or a bird passing overhead. His greatest joy, during the twilight years of his life, was his grandson Tyler whom he loved dearly and with all his heart.
He was a good and kind man, honest almost to a fault, fair and always willing to give a hand to whomever needed it.
He will be greatly missed but being survived by his family - whom he was very proud of - he is never truly gone and will always be in our hearts. We miss you Dad, we Love you, we will live our best lives to celebrate yours and honour you.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
