• I knew Betty for many years and she used to call me frequently even after she retired. She was a very kind, caring person, who always had a friendly word and greeting. She was genuinely concerned and thoughtful and interested in those she cared about. • I remember when John Lennon was killed in 1980 the North Star movie theatre paid a tribute to the Beatles by showing Help a hard day’s night movies plus yellow submarine and I took her to see them and she enjoyed them and a good time.
