Doreen Brownstone passed away on December 16, 2022.
Graveside service at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 18 at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, 235 Armstrong Ave., Winnipeg. Livestream available on Facebook or YouTube at the Shaarey Zedek website.
Meal of Condolence to follow at Shaftesbury Retirement Residence.

Doreen was one of my mother's long time friends. Of course that meant swimming lessons from Doreen one of if not the best. To this day I frequently receive comments on my swimming ability! I first met our Doreen in 1976 at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton during a production of Equus. We bonded right away - she was irresistible! Of course she gave me swimming lessons in the hotel pool, and we cracked jokes and hung out for the rest of the run. Although we never worked together again, every time I was in Winnipeg we’d get together, and she would always light up my day.
