BEVERLEY DIANE HINDS MACKEY

Sadly, on December 21, 2022, Beverley Diane Hinds Mackey passed away peacefully at 88 years old.
She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends; daughters, Shari Mackey, Laurie Nyquest; brothers, Reid (Diane) Hinds and Don (Beryl) Hinds; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Donald Mackey, and her son Kent Mackey.
Beverley was a devoted wife and mother. An intelligent, warm, caring, generous, strong, proud, charming and witty woman. A humanist and environmentalist, both philosophical and insightful. A patron of the Arts, appreciative of good books, music and Spanish coffees. A lover of animals, supporter of the underdog and friend to all things lost.
She was a child of God, a country girl at heart. A fan of musicals, blessed with the rhythm and soul of a dancer. A great baker of lemon pie and pineapple squares. She will be greatly missed.
In keeping with their wishes, Bev will be buried alongside her husband Don, at a service for them both at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue in the New Year.
