ALLAN WEINSHENKER
On December 23, 2022, Allan passed away at the age of 63 at the Health Sciences Centre after a long struggle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Elsie Weinshenker. He will be forever remembered by his two brothers, Brian and Harold and their families. He will also be missed by his lifelong friend Ross Slonim and his sister Roxanne.
Allan dedicated his life to his family and cared for his parents as they aged. Allan was a sensitive and highly personal intellectual, who searched for meaning in learning and philosophy; he attained a Bachelor of Law and Master of Arts (sociology) degrees. His careers included law, travel and sociology before becoming a library assistant at the University of Manitoba. Allan's many years fighting cancer were difficult but he fought his illness bravely to the very end.
A graveside service was held at B'Nay Abraham Cemetery on December 26 attended by family and close friends.
May Allan's memory forever be a blessing.

Allan was a wonderful co-worker who was interesting and knowledgeable. He was always friendly and willing to help. He maintained his equilibrium and positive attitude. He will be remembered fondly.
