Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to all of you. Kay was a wonderful longtime friend of my grandma Helen Werner. As a child my brother and I would visit Kay and Bud at their cottage. Those were great memories and their kindness they showed us is something I will always remember. Even in my adult life I would occasionally call Kay and we would talk about all kinds of things. She held a very special place in my heart and will be truly missed. RIP Kay xoxo - Posted by: Krystal Armstrong (Werner) (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2023

  • I am grateful to have known Kay for many years with her family at Grand Beach. She loved long walks and being at the cottage. Kay was generous, inclusive, had a fabulous sense of humour and warm smile. Kay was a wonderful mother to my friend Nancy and a wonderful friend to my mother. She will be missed. • Kay was a gem. Xuwei & I got to know her at Fred Douglas Place and shared many wonderful times together sitting around the dining room table. I'll never forget her relentless efforts to get me to join her at church. Sorry, Kay, I'm still not going. However, I also know you didn't judge nor condemn me for that. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Ernie Wiens (Friend from FDP) on: Jan 10, 2023

  • We are truly blessed to have known Kay for many years. Kay lit up a room when she entered. She loved people and we certainly loved her. We will miss her. Kay spoke lovingly of her daughters and we send our sincere sympathy to them and the extended family. Rest in Peace Kay. • Mrs.Wall was the secretary at WKCI and I saw her whenever I attended the office. Always polite and smiling! Years later I became a Freemason and met Bud, he gave a long speech to myself and the lodge! At Times I would run into Kay she was always pleasant and polite to me! - Posted by: Ken Kowaluk (Student at WKCI) on: Dec 31, 2022
