KENNETH KELLER
March 18, 1945 December 24, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa on Saturday December 24, 2022.
Ken peacefully passed away at the age of 77 years at the Health Sciences Center, with his family by his side. His parents Rudolf and Leona, brothers Martin and Albert, sister Bernice Greenberg and special in-laws, predeceased him.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jane, daughter Audra (Wally) Boyko of Tyndall, son Derek (Nicole) and precious granddaughters, Sienna and Athena of Winnipeg. Ken is also survived by his brother Richard (Betty), sisters Sylvia (Luc) and Mary Ann and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Ken was born and raised on the family farm in Camp Morton. He met and married Jane, where they settled in Gimli and raised their lovely family.
Over his career, Ken was employed at Seagram's Distillery, Gimli Hotel, RM of Gimli and Diageo until his retirement.
Ken was an avid sports fan and with a love for hockey, this led him to coach minor hockey for many years. He spent many hours tinkering in his workshop with good friend Randy, who was always there to help him. Ken was the happiest though when spending time with his family, especially with his granddaughters, who were his pride and joy.
Cremation has taken place and Memorial Mass celebrating Ken's life will be held at St. Michaels's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 with Father Stan Gacek officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to, Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. C/O P.O Box 92, Gimli, Manitoba R0C 1B0.
Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
