  • Elaine really got the crowd going when we would see Ian perform. Such fond memories! - Posted by: Linda Stewart (friend) on: Jan 03, 2023

  • Elaine had such an up beat personality. She had us all in stitches every time she stopped into "the shop" to see Erv. - Posted by: Ken Stewart (friend) on: Jan 03, 2023

  • We are very saddened by Elaine’s passing. She came to visit us all in Crystal City over the years quite frequently and always made her rounds to visit family and friends in our area. She was always upbeat, energetic, fearless and so much fun. She loved her family so much and her heart was as big as her beautiful smile. Rest In Peace Elaine. Love from Don and Glenyce Vines. - Posted by: Glenyce Vines (Cousin-in-law) on: Jan 02, 2023

  • Who will ever forget Elain's "whoot whoot"? It was like her signature. Whether we saw her shopping at Scoop & Save Health Foods or out for the evening at Celebrations encouraging her son and others "whoot whoot" told you that she was there and having fun. She always had a joke or a riddle, most of them old and corny, but she laughed every time she told one. She will be greatly missed. Condolences to her family - Posted by: Rick Drury (Friend) on: Jan 02, 2023

  • Elaine was an amazing, kind, and always positive person! She and Erv raised two sons (Ian and Vaughan) who are fine upstanding people. I worked with Erv. I got to know the Kehlers quite well, when the kids were growing up. I haven’t seen the boys in quite some time but want them to know that both their parents were wonderful people! I am glad I had the chance to know them both. RIP Elaine.. Bob (Woody) and Cathy Wood - Posted by: Bob Wood (Friend ) on: Jan 01, 2023

  • I’m so sorry to read of Elaine’s death. Her obituary describes her perfectly as a source of light and love. We both went to Westwood Collegiate long ago; even though we didn’t hang out we crossed paths many times over the years and she was as friendly as she had been in high school. The last time we bumped into each other was at the St. Norbert’s Farmers Market several years ago. My sincere condolences to Herb and her family. - Posted by: Judy Labossiere (Acquaintance) on: Jan 01, 2023

  • Elaine was a childhood friend to the Brennan family. Remembered by all of us as a sweet fun loving pal.. Deepest sympathy to her family. - Posted by: Edith Brennan (Friend) on: Dec 31, 2022

  • Elaine was one of the most loving, caring people that I've ever met and Fun was her middle name. Elaine and I met through our work supporting adults with developmental disabilities. Her work was her calling. As a Director, she was dedicated to the individuals she supported and to the staff she supervised. Each person was valued and respected. As a caring professional, she assisted each person with setting goals that resulted in greater independence. All holidays and events were celebrated and often her sons, Ian, a professional singer and Vaugh, an artist, would come and entertain. As a friend, you could always count on Elaine to empathize and encourage during hard times and celebrate the good times. I take comfort knowing that Elaine is with the Lord and that we'll see her again one day and oh, the celebration! - Posted by: Judy Andrich (Friend) on: Dec 31, 2022
