JOAN MARIE MARR
(BRAUN)

November 18, 1958 – December 25, 2022

With heavy hearts we share Joan's passing into the arms of the Lord after a short struggle with cancer. At her side was Rob, her loving and devoted husband of 18 years, and her faithful puppy Earl.
Joan is survived by siblings, Dorothy (John), Harvey (Joyce), Marvin, Ken (Christine), Ray (Mary), Muriel (Herb) and is survived by Robert's family, Lenore, Donnamae (Lynn), and Fred (Joanne).
Joan grew up on a farm in Austin, MB. She worked as an LPN and enjoyed caring for people. She led a full life, loved her family, enjoyed maintaining their yard, spending time at their cabin, cooking, and was always interested in spending time at craft sales.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stonewall Hospital for their exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stonewall Hospital or CancerCare Manitoba.
A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2023.

  • Joan was one of the most honest people. You always knew where you stood with her. She worked hard and was very caring. Her smile lit up the room. I loved the pure joy on her face when she was dancing. I knew I could count on her whether at work, doing MNU work or a as friend. She will be missed. Love you Joan. - Posted by: Kathy Nicholson (Co-worker and friend) on: Jan 07, 2023
