SANDRA MARIE HOBBS
(nee Polischuk)

1954 - 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Hobbs, on January 1, 2023 at the Lake of the Woods Hospital in Kenora.
Sandy is survived by her children, Cory (Melissa) and Chrissy (Gareth), grandchildren, Braeden, Paige, Ayla and Emme, brother Daniel, and sisters, Valerie, and Shari. She is also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Steve, mother Laura and brother Ray.
Sandy was born in Winnipeg and later resided in Grand Rapids with her husband Fred. She then moved to Lac du Bonnet to raise her children where she worked as a hairdresser and later for Manitoba Hydro.
Sandy was always a fierce protector and defender for those who needed her. Her faith was strong and she relied on it many times in her life. She had a huge passion for animals which was evident in the number of pets she took in and cared for throughout the years. Music was also a big part of her life. She loved to sing, play guitar, and listen to country music.
As per Sandy's wishes, no formal service will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
A special thanks to the staff at the Lake of the Woods Hospital for their care and compassion during her stay there.
To honour Sandy's memory, please smile when you hear a Patsy Cline song. Should you wish, any donations can be made to an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com for the Hobbs family.
