MARCUS (MARK) BURTNICK
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa, Marcus (Mark) Burtnick. Mark passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 6, 2023, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Bethel, sister Mardell and brothers, Reg and Wes.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Shirley, sons, Michael (Eileen), Roger (Athena) and daughter Shannon (Bob). Mark was blessed with grandsons, Russell, Nicholas and Christian (deceased), granddaughters, Krystal, Kathleen, Starrlee and Courtney and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mark was born April 2, 1933 on the farm near Homewood, MB. He was the second oldest and first son of Peter and Bethel Burtnick.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Grace Hospital Foundation.
Funeral services will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.

Roger and I grew up together. Mr. And Mrs. Burtnick were very kind to all of Roger's friends, and were always perfect hosts for their children's guests. Mr. Burtnick demonstrated a trick for Roger's friends that amazed me as a child. Mr. Burtnick was a good man, who raised good men.
