SOFIA MARANAN

It is with great sadness that the family of Sofia Razon Maranan (Mama Soping) announce her sudden passing on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the age of 73 years old.
Everybody knew her as Mama Soping. She came to Canada in December 24, 1974 to follow her sister Tessie. She worked at Health Sciences Centre in the Dialysis Unit. She loved cooking, dancing and listening to music. She could always put a smile on your face.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Tessie and Carmelita, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Simplicia and Demetrio Maranan, brothers, Leonardo and Onofre Maranan, and sisters, Loreta Maranan, Marcela Maranan Alcantara and Rufina Maranan Cabrera. She is survived by her sister Teresita (Tessie) Maranan.
Lamay will be on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 Des Meurons Street, with prayers being said at 1:00 p.m.
