GERMAINE BERARD
1937 - 2023
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our dear aunt, sister, friend, "ma tante" Germaine on January 13, 2023. She had devoted her whole life selflessly to her dear Dad, her family and community.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Simone Turenne and Thérèse (Albert) Morin; sister-in-law Marion; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Josephat and Florence Bérard; her brothers and their wives, Roméo (Germaine), Roland (Marie), Joseph (Claire), and Paul; her sisters and their husbands, Agathe (Denis) Forest, Rita (Stan) Metelski, and Bernadette (Ned) Martel; and brother-in-law Paul Turenne.
We absolutely need to thank the caring, amazing staff at Repos Jolys in St. Pierre-Jolys. They were her angels on Earth, and we appreciate them immensely.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Repos Jolys, Box 320, St. Pierre Jolys, MB R0A 1V0.

Germaine and I met in the early 50's while working at Concordia Hospital and have remained friends for all of these years. In our later years, she would drive into Winnipeg for a day of lunch and shopping. She always found something to buy. Then we would go back to our place for coffee and dessert and talk for a few more hours. My late husband Mickey would join us and the conversation always turn to farming and her brother Paul.
