My sincere condolences to Phyllis, the boy and extended Desjardins family. I worked with Omer at Custom truck sales, he was my boss and I was a mechanic until I got hurt and was brought in to work in the office. He was a straight tell it like it is guy, called me Timothy-Owen all the time. He loved giving people nick names, at least at work. Heard alot of firsts as well, sod buster, big galloot, to name a couple. Rest in peace Omer. - Posted by: Tim Burridge (Co-worker and friend ) on: Jan 25, 2023

From my family the Peloquin to the Desjardins clan, our most sincere condolences to Omer’s family. We were friends back in the day at Champlain school when our families would fill up the school from grade 1 to 8. May he Rest In Peace, by the other tributes he was a great man. He did have a special laugh.❤️🌹❤️ - Posted by: Gabrielle Peloquin-Comeault (Champlain School friend) on: Jan 24, 2023

My sincere condolences to the whole Desjardins family. I first met Omer when I worked at Paramount Kenworth (1977). He was the only person I ever saw that could lift the back frame of a glider off the frame stands using only his arms; he was tough as nails. I dealt with Omer for many years when he was service manager at Custom Truck Sales; always a straight shooter who enjoyed a good laugh. He gave me the nickname, Ian you potlicker. I believe Omer spent 50 years working on Kenworth trucks, a legacy few could only dream of. I am sad to see he has passed; we lost another great one. Rest in peace Buddy - Posted by: Ian Hailstone (Bid Rig Collision) on: Jan 22, 2023

Omer was an original, straight shooter who could tell you like it was without offending you. He was kind, considerate and protective of those he cared about. In an industry known for it's foul language Omer would instead utilize old school phrases/names like 'Pot Licker', 'Old Codger' and 'Sod Buster'. I had the great pleasure of making over 50 road trips with him lasting 3 or 4 days. We made each other laugh continuously and when he was serious he was most often talking about the love of his life, Phyllis or his pride and joy, his 3 sons and his grandchildren. A wonderful man who will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace you sod busting, pot licking old codger. - Posted by: Don Bailey (Colleague at CTS) on: Jan 22, 2023

Paramount Kenworth truck dealership is where I first me Omer. He was one of their best diesel mechanics and many customers including myself would ask that Omer would be the one repairing their truck. This ,even if it meant waiting an extra day or so,because if Omer repaired it,it was done right the first time. He was always smiling and happy to chat every time we saw each other over the many years we knew him. RIP old friend. Deepest sincere condolences to his family. - Posted by: Peter Poler (Friend) on: Jan 21, 2023
