NORMA JEAN KINNEAR
We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Norma Jean Kinnear on January 13, 2023.
Norma was born on March 23, 1937 in Leeds, North Dakota. She met her husband Bruce Kinnear in Leeds where she was a lifeguard at the community pool. They were married on September 2, 1956. They made their family home in Winnipeg for over 65 years in the North Kildonan area and had two children.
Left to mourn are her children, Mike (Carolyn) and Wendy (Nigel).
Norma had several part time jobs in her lifetime. She worked for Safeway as a cashier for 25 years and after she retired, she was an Avon lady for a period of another 25 years. Selling Avon brought her joy and happiness throughout the years. Norma made many long-lasting friendships during this time. She enjoyed visiting and joking around with many of her customers and friends. Mom will be sadly missed and forever loved.
Rest in peace Mom we love you
and will see you again one day.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.
Thank you to her long-time friend Shannon, you were always there for our mom and she loved you like a daughter. Thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital staff for their care and compassion.
At our mom's request there will not be a public service.

So sorry to hear of Norma's passing. I have been an Avon customer for decades, in various cities, and Norma was by far my favourite representative. We always had a great chat when she delivered my order and I will miss her. - Posted by: Janet Grunsten (Avon customer) on: Feb 23, 2023

I knew Norma through Avon, being the district sales manager in that area for a period of time. Norma was always helpful to her team and anyone who needed help with their business. She always had a story to tell and I just enjoyed listening to her. Sincerest condolences to the family at this time. - Posted by: Brenda stamm (Avon manager) on: Jan 21, 2023

Our sympathies to Norma's family. I met Norma at Safeway, when I was the union rep in the 70,s.Norma was president of the UFCW local 832 Retirees club. Norma was the longest serving president of the Retirees Club. She was effective, dedicated in rendering service to the members. I am sad to hear about this. We met when I started selling Avon years ago and she was such a nice person to deal with we became friends. She had a wonderful smile and laugh and she seemed to genuinely care about people. She will certainly be missed by so many. Together again and for always. - Posted by: Debbie Seniuk (Friend) on: Jan 21, 2023
