ANGELINE OLAFSON

On January 15, 2023, after a lengthy illness, Angeline Phyllis Olafson passed away at the age of 85, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kjartan Edward Olafson; her son, Martin Glenn Olafson; her brother, Larry Kereluke; and dear friend John Young.
Angeline grew up in Sheho, Saskatchewan. After moving to Winnipeg, she met and married Kjartan (Kap). They moved to Charleswood in 1966 where they lived for many years.
Angeline was an active mother of five children and later a proud grandmother of four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was involved in many community activities in Charleswood and was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She also pursued a career as a health care aide in the Holiday Haven and West Park Manor Personal Care Homes.
She will be remembered as a happy person with a special kindness for seniors, children and animals. She loved the outdoors, participating in sports and square dancing.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Judith, Lorelei, Murray and Mark; and her brother Gordon. She will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Kirstyn, Emily, Adrienne and Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Payton and Maverick; as well as our other family members (Jeanette, Peter, Charlotte, Lorraine, Michelle, Kyle, Krystlyn); and our many Winnipeg friends and relatives.
Special thanks to the staff of Golden Links Lodge for their exceptional and compassionate care.
