GEORGETTE WANLIN
1937 - 2023


Peacefully on January 17, 2023, Georgette Wanlin passed away at the Actionmarguerite Nursing Home at the age of 85.
Georgette was born in Steinbach, Manitoba on August 4, 1937. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years (1999), her daughter Debbie (2018), her Mom (2010) and her Dad (1971), sisters-in-law, Louise and Marguerite. She is survived by six brothers: Armand, Ernest, Gabriel, David (Yvonne), Antoine (Denise) and André (Colleen).
Georgette was quite the "tomboy" growing up and loved spending time with her brothers. She enjoyed going to their baseball and hockey games. She had an appreciation for everything cars and loved going on long car rides throughout the Whiteshell area with her husband Jim. She enjoyed spending time in nature and took great pleasure in caring for animals, mostly her cat. She liked to listen to music, do some reading and play cards.
The family would like to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite for their caring and loving devotion in caring for Georgette in the final years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, 204 - 805 Sherbrooke Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.
Funeral was arranged by Coutu Funeral Home and took place on January 22, 2023.
