DARLENE ANNE LAW
(EIRICKSON)

December 25, 1956 - January 25, 2023

With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of our Mom, Amma and wife, Darlene Anne Law. Following a short battle with cancer, Darlene passed away with her family by her side on January 25, 2023 at the age of 66 years.
Darlene was born December 25, 1956 in Eriksdale, MB as the first of six daughters to Frank and Marilyn Eirickson on the farm west of Lundar. The neighbors envied the hard-working farm girls, who outworked many of the neighboring sons! Darlene was the cutter on the crew, and her farming skills continued after she married Donald.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Law; her daughter, Bonnie (Josh) and their children Braden (Bailey), Branden and Hannah; her son Michael (Cheryl) and their children, Nick, Matt and Icelynn; sisters, Lenore, Fran, Joanne (Bobe), Arlene (Harold) and Lana (Cory); in-laws Bruce (Brenda), Margaret (Wayne); sister-in-law Lorna, Vernon and many nieces and nephews.
Darlene was predeceased by her parents Frank and Marilyn Eirickson, her mother and father-in-law Les and Alice Law, and her brother-in-law Gerald Law.
Darlene married Donald on March 8, 1975 and they had two children, Bonnie and Michael. They made their life and raised their family just east of Lundar. Darlene worked as a health care aid for over 35 years, and was loved dearly by her work family as well.
Mom had a very full life, full of family and friends she loved so much. She loved to crack a joke and play a trick on you. If you were on the butt end of one of her pranks, she never let you forget it!
She loved anything outdoors, fishing and hunting, especially if it was with her family. She looked forward to the many summer trips to Grand Rapids at Hobbs Resort with her family and seeing the wonderful friends she made there over the years at the resort. She was also very active in the community, a volunteer of the Duck's Unlimited committee, on the board of the Lundar Personal Care Home Guild, and a very active member in the Lundar Gun Club for many years which lead to many wonderful trap shooting friends throughout the province.
She loved to sit around and listen to her family strum the guitar and sing, making requests of all her favorites. Mom loved to feed her family, always creating new recipes, and baking goodies with her granddaughters.
A Memorial Service to honour Darlene's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 in the Lundar Legion Hall with Cindy Thorkelson officiating. A private family interment will take place with a luncheon to follow in the Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Braden, Branden, Nick, Hannah, Matt and Icelynn.
The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Stonewall Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg for your kindness and compassionate care. Special thanks to John and Karen Gray of Arnason Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Darlene's memory to The Lundar Gun Club (for The Junior Shot Gun Program), PO Box 182, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0.
