Richard passed peacefully the morning of January 29, 2023.
He was predeceased by his father Wally, mother Louise and sisters, Judi (Penner) and Marilyn (Minke). He leaves his brother-in-law Greg Minke, and nieces, Michelle and Angela Minke of Calgary, and nephews, David and Derek Penner of Winnipeg.
Richard struggled much of his life with mental disorders but always kept a positive and welcoming attitude. He loved his family deeply.

Rest in Peace, Rich

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My condolences to Richard's brother-in-law Greg in Calgary. Also to his nephews David and Derek and their families. Richard was a beautiful soul who was kind to everyone and he didn't have a mean word or speak badly of anyone. Our family has known the Hutchinson's (who are now all dead now that Richard has gone.) since 1956 when we moved across the street on Palliser Avenue in Silver Heights. For many years I have known and chummed with his oldest sister Judy until she passed away a couple of years ago. Once Judy and I drove all the way out on King Edward Avenue to pick him up and take him for coffee. I have message for you Richard: Now that you are through the pearly gates tell St. Peter "look after me like my friends in Winnipeg did." Rest In Peace my dear friend. - Posted by: Joan Porteous (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2023
