BONNIE IRENE MCCORRISTER
(MCPHERSON)

October 26, 1959 - February 3, 2023


It is with deep sadness that our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife, Bonnie Irene McCorrister nee McPherson, had departed February 3, 2023, with family by her side.
The youngest of 11 children, mom was born and raised in the Peguis First Nation. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 47 years Doug, son Derek (Alanna)and daughter Candace (William), grandchildren, Autumn, Coral, Meadow, Tavon, Windynn, Landon, Liam, Brenlee and Levi, great-grandchildren, Prairie and Oakley and her precious 23 year old cat, Tiggs. Brother James (Rosemary), Garf (Vic) and Pam (Boots). Bonnie is predeceased by her father Graham, mother Irene, sisters Charlotte, Sandra, brothers Spencer, Leonard, Ivan, Gary, Graham Jr. "Sonny", Margaret and Andrew at infancy, mother-in-law Edith, father-in-law Mortimer, sister-in-law Shirley (Genzer), brother-in-law John, and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
Mom was highly educated with High School, Small Business Mgt, Business Admin, CAFM Diplomas. Mom contributed 40 years of service to Peguis School Board November of 2022. Bonnie made many community connections through her work, sports and their local business, The Sports Zone. Mom was the backbone of our family. She had a green thumb for plants and preserving, gifting vegetables, clothes, essentials or moral support. Mom loved camping, travelling, shopping, music, singing, dancing.
Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Peguis School Board Family, Peguis First Nation and AFOA Manitoba.
Special Thanks to staff of Percy E More Hospital, Brandon Regional Medical Centre, HSC, Peguis Health Centre and her numerous family and friends.
A wake service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., Peguis Commuity Hall. Funeral service on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12 noon, Peguis Community Hall. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Church on the Peguis First Nation, followed by a feast.
