GEORGINA RICHARD
It is with profound sadness, after a lengthy illness with cancer that we announce the passing of Georgina Richard (Gina) on January 24, 2023 at the age of 76.
Georgina was born on October 3, 1946 in Ericksdale, Manitoba. Georgina was survived by her partner Joe. Her children Cheryl (James), Clifford (Shelley), Shelley (Mark), Kevin, Pam (Keith) and their father Albert. Stepchildren Joey, Sean, Debbie and Chris. Siblings Jenny (Maurice) and Marge, brother Brian, and sister-in-law Shirley. Mom had 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mom had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gina was predeceased by her mother and father Sarah and Telford Richard. Brothers Wilfred, Albert, Lawrence, Maurice, sister Helen, brother-in-law Oliver, brother-in-law George, daughter-in-law Lorette, grandson Christopher, granddaughter Eryn, and great-grandson Braeden.
Mom was a free spirited strong independent woman who welcomed everyone into her life. She enjoyed Bingo, cooking, making people laugh and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Mom will forever be 39 and holding and will finally meet her blue eyes.
Thank you to my sister Pam for taking such great care of Mom also thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Palliative Care for all their kindness in caring for mom in her last few months of her life.
