BRUCE OGILVIE
May 15, 1944 - January 27, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Bruce Graham Ogilvie. Bruce passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023 at the age of 78.
Bruce is survived by his daughter Lindsey and son Shaun of Calgary; his brothers, Don Ogilvie (Myrna) of Vancouver and Gord Ogilvie (Diane) of Winnipeg; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bruce is predeceased by his wife Constance Ogilvie (Volk), and parents, Stewart and Margaret Ogilvie.
Bruce was born in Winnipeg in 1944, while his father was overseas as an airman. Bruce had fond memories of playing football and baseball with neighbors on the family field and became a life long Bombers fan. Bruce graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Economics.
After meeting his wife, Constance, they moved to Calgary where Bruce began his long and successful career in the field of Human Resources. Soon after their move to Calgary, Bruce and Connie started a family. His pride was in his children and his fondest memories were of the Sunday family dinners together. After retirement, Bruce began to travel with Connie to Mexico. Bruce continued to travel there after her passing and would visit their favourite resort yearly.
Bruce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be held at the SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate) on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

  • Sympathy to you,Lindsay and Shaun. I have fond memories of watching you grow up on your yearly stops (and swims) in Brandon on your way to your annual Winnipeg vacation. Your parents had the best smiles and laughs. - Posted by: Lynda Hamilton (Friend) on: Feb 11, 2023
