LOIS LORI WEBB
Born: August 11, 1956
Date of passing: January 23, 2023

On January 23, 2023, Lois "Lori" Webb (nee Yarish) left us to be home with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Lori was born August 11, 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and grew up in Lockport.
Lori was predeceased by her parents Anne and Norman Yarish, and her second husband, Michael Webb. She is survived by her children David, and Alana Jansen, first husband Doug (Pat) Jansen, sisters Barbra Hartwell, Debbie (Dave) Gravatt, brothers Raymond (Barbara) Miller, Norman (Kim) Yarish, and Larry (Sharlene) Yarish, and grandchildren Rose and Benjamin Jansen, and Lilly Doolan.
Lori gave her life to Jesus at a young age and walked with the guidance and direction of the Lord. After highschool she went to Sweden to attend bible college with Torch Bearers in 1975. Upon returning to Canada, she met Doug Jansen in 1977 and they soon married and had two children, David and Alana Jansen.
She worked as a secretary in several offices including Transport Canada, TransCanada Pipelines, and the University of Manitoba Dafoe Library.
In 2001, she married her second husband, Mike Webb. They had many years of good times on their sailboat in Gimli and Hecla, MB. In 2009, they moved to Courtenay, BC where they lived life to the fullest until Mike's passing in 2010. Lori adjusted to life in BC and spent much time with friends, meeting Gary Mugford in 2011, enjoying plenty of new adventures on his Harley. The family wishes to thank Gary for all his care and generosity in her final days. Lori will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a kind, caring soul that blessed the lives of many.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Selkirk Community Church, 6569 Provincial Trunk Hwy, St. Andrews, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to House of the Risen Son Church in Winnipeg.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I am so very sorry to hear of Lori’s passing. Although I haven’t seen the Yarish family for a long time they are in my thoughts and many of my memories. My sincere condolences to all who loved and cherished Lori. - Posted by: Jane Hicks (Cousin) on: Feb 22, 2023

  • Lori and I met in the 80’s, corner of Winnipeg’s Portage and Main, Transport Canada. We were fast friends on the same path. She had such a clever wit and we shared so many fun times. Lori left TC and beckoned me to Air Command/DND — and years later we rekindled our friendship at the U of M. Not often in life does that happen. My sincere condolences to her children, and family on your loss. RIP Lori, Heaven is rejoicing to have you!!! - Posted by: Valerie Myers (Friend ) on: Feb 21, 2023
