ERNEST BRETECHER
On January 30th, 2023, Ernest Bretecher passed away at the age of 71 in Brandon at the Assiniboine Centre.
Ernest was born to Antoine and Aline (Reboul) Bretecher on October 13th, 1951 and has one sister Irene (Tony) Kustiak.
Ernest has five children, Laura, Carol (Shane), Jason (Rachel), Deanna (Kevin), and Theresa (Ben). Along with five grandchildren, Michael, Pyper, Jesse, Logan, and Kellan. His sister also gave him two nephews and one niece, Trevor, Konrad, and Anilise.
Ernest loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and long drives down every country road he could find. Ernest also loved curling. He enjoyed playing it years ago and has many many trophies from bonspiels or tournaments. He enjoyed life, lived it to the fullest, and fought for it as long as he could until the end. He was a very talented carpenter and loved it very, very much. He took so much pride in his work and all that he built. His heart went into every project he did and there are quite a few over the years.
He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, and coworkers as he got taken from us way too soon.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:30 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Ryan Raffray officiating. Private family Interment will follow in Toutes Aides Parish Cemetery in Toutes Aides, MB.
