  • All those meetings of the Circle Seven Magicians where he would make everyone feel welcome. He would have no hesitation, always drawing people out of their shells. A personal greeting, followed by a genuine inquiry about the person's well being that was always heartfelt and sincere. I have never forgotten the man who did so much for me at a difficult time of my life. I will miss his warmth - I hug people now! - Posted by: Bruce Thomson (friend) on: Mar 05, 2023

  • It was my great privilege to meet Atish through the Interfaith Round Table. Over the years Atish was a vital source about all things Hindu. He invited some fifty members of my congregation to visit his place of worship and explore the faith he loved. I treasure most his kindness, wisdom, his delightful sense of humour but, most of all, his conviction that the Holy One makes room for all. He was a blessing. - Posted by: Rev. Dr. Sharon Wilson (United Church Colleague and friend) on: Feb 23, 2023

  • I have such fond memories of Atish & his wonderful family, I remember crystal clear when they moved upstairs of 266 Cathedral Avenue, from Calcutta I think, then sadly to Garden City though my brother & I would bike to their new place on Viola, they were more than family to me, they were chosen family, then there was the cottage in Pinawa. (I'm in Anmore, BC close to Vancouver since 1979) - Posted by: JAMES D'HONT (family friend) on: Feb 23, 2023
