Peacefully, on the morning of Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 80, Joe passed away at the Poseidon Care Centre, a place he called home for 14 years.
Joe was predeceased by his ex-wife Violet, his daughter Barbara, his parents, George and Margaret, sisters, Jean, Bess, Judy, Mary-Ann and brothers-in-law, Mike, Wilf and Laurie.
He is survived by his children, Charlotte (Mark), Brenda (Wes), and Laura (Marc). He is also survived by his siblings, Darlene, Joan (Bill), Al (Diane), Larry, Mark (Marilyne) and Teresa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family would like to send their heartfelt thank you to the 5th floor staff at the Poseidon Care Centre. You made a home for Joe and treated him as one of your family. We can never repay the kindness you have shown.
A memorial service for Joe will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with interment of ashes to follow at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Service may be viewed online with the following link:
