SAMANTHA ROSE PEEBLES
June 2, 1986 - February 28, 2023

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Samantha on February 28, 2023 at the age of 36 years.
Samantha will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Teneka, Mother Sandra (Scooter) Dalton; Siblings: Shae-Lynn (Baylor), Alexander; Father Les (Tina) Burke; Grandparents Clifford and Beatrice Peebles. Lyle, Tannis, Alan and Rita Letandre. Special Uncles Gene Hourie, Emery Stagg, Arliss (Ruby) Peebles. And the Peebles Aunts and Uncles: Albert, Carl (Charlotte), Charlotte, Charlene, Joanne (Allan) Ewen, Glenda, Sharon. Special Auntie Mary Crate. Robert Agland Jr.. Murray and Melvin Stagg. The community of Dauphin River. As well as many cousins and friends too many to name.
Sammie was predeceased by her Aunt Cheryl Stagg; Great-grandparents Albert and Daisy Hourie, other aunts and uncles, and family members.
Sammie could light up any room that she walked into with her joyful and crazy laugh, and her bubbly personality which shone like the stars. She was a social butterfly and the life of the party. If you were sad and hurting, she would give you all her love and heart to cheer you up. Sammie worked hard, was always ready and willing to give a helping hand and gave all of herself to everyone. She enjoyed reading a good book like Jane Austen, The Vampire Diaries and The House of Night series. Movie nights often included everything from the Game of Thrones to Hunger Games to Sons of Anarchy with buckets of popcorn shared with family and friends. Sammie played volleyball, took kickboxing, and enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing, boating, gardening, going to the beach, bar-b-queing, roaring bonfires, and she liked clubbing with her friends. Pizza was her most favourite food – either home made or ordered out. Sammie lived hard, fought hard, worked hard, and loved hard with all her heart. That was our Sammie.

  • Sammie Bear, as I affectionately called her, for her 'bear' hugs..it absolutely breaks my heart you left us so soon my girl! I'm so torn! You will always be remembered for having the biggest heart. I remembered you wanted us to sleep in the livingroom so we could keep an eye on the cat, so that he didn't climb the Xmas tree lol.... when you needed to have the fan on and the window wide open in winter at the same time!! Say hi to our friends Ed and Tracy!! I love you baby girl, always have, always will!!! Until we meet again, save a spot up there for me ❤️ - Posted by: Sukhraj van de Laar (Close friend) on: Mar 10, 2023

  • My deepest heartfelt condolences to my family. Especially to my sister Sandra and my great niece Teneka. You are in my prayers. Sammi you touched so many lives with your outrageous sense of humor, your outgoing personality and your ability to love hard. You were that ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Always putting your friends and family first. You will be missed and loved by all that knew you. I miss you Sammi, my Samson as I called you. You have taken a big piece of me with you. I still cannot believe that you left us way too soon. You will remain forever in our hearts. Till we meet again ..... RIP SAMMI Rose🌹 - Posted by: Sharon Peebles (Auntie) on: Mar 10, 2023
