Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Garry encouraged me to get my Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation and I ended up writing the exam at Portage District General Hospital. I was grateful for his support during my early career and always appreciated his sense of humour. - Posted by: Randy Steffan (Colleague) on: Mar 24, 2023

  • My sincere sympathy to Garry's daughters and their families. Garry was an individual who took on any challenge presented by MB Health and worked hard for his facility. Later in life we were friends and he always challenged me to be the best I could be. Even facing health challenges he was feisty and spoke up to insure others were not left behind. His presence was felt wherever he went. I will miss our chats over the years. Major John - Posted by: John McFarlane (Friend and colleague ) on: Mar 17, 2023

  • My deepest sympathies. I knew Garry when he was at the Brandon Mental Health Center and I was at Manitoba Health. He always welcomed us warmly when we visited Brandon. I also remember spending time with him in Orlando at a health conference with Al Martin as I remember it they got in the glue for stealing a hotel golf cart, great fun and lots of laughs. He will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Lloyd Searcy (Colleague) on: Mar 11, 2023
