To the Hammerback Clan/families: Our sincerest condolences on Allan's passing. We were neighbours on Beach Avenue and grew up as families spending time at EECC. I left home in '64 and ended up in BC, so have not been in touch much. However, did talk to him at a couple reunions of Elmwood High. Thinking of you all at this difficult time. RIP. We are so sorry to hear of Al's passing Sue, Stacey, Stefan and your families. We met Al' when we first moved out to Oakbank. He and other Kinsmen corralled me to join the Kinsman club and that's all it took to join all with our new family. Wasn't long after that Marlene joined the Kinnet Club. We had such good times with meetings and the travelling barrel. Al was always there to help anyone and we became close with Sue and the kids. Miss those days but alas we moved out of Oakbank 8 years ago and due to my health never stayed in touch with all our Oakbank family. Al you will be missed but NEVER FORGOTTEN. To Sue,Stacey and Stef we hope to see you all soon to hug and reminisce. Love you all. Barrie, Marlene, Kyle, Tyler and Corey Cooke. - Posted by: Barrie & Marlene Cooke (Close friend and fellow Kinsman) on: Mar 18, 2023

Lorraine and are are shocked and saddened to hear of Al's passing. Our condolences to you Sue , Stacey , Stefan and your families . Our paths crossed in the early 80's when we moved to Oakbank and I joined the Kinsman. We also played hockey on the Kinsman hockey team. How he loved the game and played for many years and was good at it. We were just taking about Al last week reminiscing about the Oakbank Area. Rest peacefully my friend. - Posted by: Ken & Lorraine Turchen (Friends ) on: Mar 11, 2023
