Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I am so sorry to hear of Gilles' passing. I was introduced to, and became a friend of, Gilles during the time we both served on the board of Directors of the Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association of Canada. Gilles was instantly likable, reasonable and thoughtful - but not shy to stand his ground when he felt strongly about an issue. I thoroughly enjoyed the time we served together, and the occasional time we touched base online in recent years. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss and know that you can count me among the many people who had the pleasure of having Gilles as a friend. - Posted by: Nick Jones (Fellow past board member of HAPC/ACVL) on: Apr 05, 2023

  • Hey Gilles...I recall greatly when we....the boys...roamed the streets of St. Boniface back in the 60's and not caring about anything...we met briefly in St. Vital centre recently in December 2022 and conversed. Our conversation gravitated towards God...I am now thankful we talked about Him Who I know now you are with...bless you my friend! - Posted by: Clovis Beaudry (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2023

- Posted by: gilbert vielfaure (ami) on: Mar 20, 2023

  • Gilles and I used to work in the same office on Corydon in the early 2000's, and would ride bikes to/from work quite often. One particularly wet summer, we had a competition of who would not wimp out for cycling in the rain. Yeah, we both got soaked often. I always enjoyed my conversations with Gilles. My condolences. - Posted by: Michel Remillard (Work and cycling buddy) on: Mar 11, 2023
