Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I would like to state my condolences to the family, and extended family. I didn't work directly with Lonnie, but crossed paths with him most every day! Some days we'd have a good talk and a laugh, or just nod heads and acknowledge each other, or sometimes a simple hello. One thing I will always remember is that infectious laugh that carried well over 50 feet. That distinct laugh put a smile on many faces including mine! Lonnie will always be remembered, As a man, both strong and good, Who gave his best to others, And did the best he could. He'll always be remembered for all the joy he brought. As a man who made a difference And a man who meant a lot." Rest easy my friend - Posted by: Mike kolodie (Co-worker/friend ) on: Mar 17, 2023

  • Lonnie helped me when I first started in his department at New Flyer, as we became best friends with Joanne. He helped me with a job I didn’t know anything about, and I became very good at it because of his help. As I retired 3 years ago, I missed hearing, “Good morning Coach.” During this Christmas Season, I came to visit and had the pleasure of talking with him. Every morning he used to call his daughter to get her ready for school, he loved his family so much. Condolences to his family. May God bless you all. - Posted by: Bob Proulx Alias Coach (Friend ) on: Mar 16, 2023
