JENNIE PRANYS

After a long full life, and battle with cancer, on Sunday morning, March 5, 2023, at Eastview Place, Altona, Jennie Pranys passed away at the age of 97 years.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter, parents, John and Helen Papas, only daughter Lorraine, only sister Louise, brothers, Johnny and Eddie, niece Dana and nephew Gregory.
Lovingly remembered by son Robert (Marilyn) of Altona, grandsons, Andrew (Natalie) of La Broquerie, Mathew (Sara) of Brandon, great-grandchildren, Ulrich, Selena and Max, sister-in-law Maxine of Winnipeg, niece Irene of Toronto and nephew Dean (Carolyn) of Winnipeg.
Jennie was born and raised in Fort Whyte, Winnipeg, then spent her later teen years on a farm in Carlowrie. Jennie was the oldest in a family of four children. Jennie, Louise, Johnny and Eddie. While living in Carlowrie, Jennie met and married Peter (from Lithuania). The two of them made a home for themselves in Winnipeg and were blessed with two children, Lorraine and Robert.
In her final years, Jennie lived in Altona, enjoying her times with her family and extended family members. Everyone at her last two places of residence, the Gardens on Tenth and later the Eastview Place Care Home, recalls her as quiet and friendly with everyone.
Interment will be at a private family memorial service at a later date yet to be determined in Elmwood Cemetery.
