HELGA GUENTHER
(nee DOEGE)
On March 10, 2023, Helga Guenther closed her beautiful brown eyes for the last time. For 93 years, Helga's eyes opened to a world filled with family activities and love; including many skating events and activities. Her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, grand and great grandchildren, and community always received her care, love, and attention. Helga supported and celebrated the achievements of family and community, whilst encouraging her own hopes and dreams.
Helga is survived by her four daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Karen Guenther; Patty Kilgallon [Bill; Aaron and Daniel (Jessica), Lewis and Everly]; Janine Guenther (Darren Burns; Simon and Isabel); Gisela McTavish (Bill; Aliya, Emily Quinn and Will). Grand-dogs: Juno, Rosco and Teddy; Grand-cat: Mitzi. Helga also is survived by her sister-in-law Irmgard Doege (daughter Deborah Doege Kraus; sons Demar, Mason and Logan; and their father Marlin). Helga was predeceased by her parents, husband W. Botho Guenther, brother Ralf Doege, and nephew Ronald Doege.
Helga and her family are very grateful for the medical care she has received over the years. Doctors: Daneshvar, Huang, Dinu and Reynolds provided Helga with extraordinary care. St. Paul's Physio department; especially K. Kavanagh, always went above and beyond expectations when caring for Helga.
