HERMINA VAN OEVEREN
On Saturday, March 11, 2023, Hermina passed away. Although health struggles diminished her quality of life over the last few years, she never lost the beautiful spirit everyone knew her for. Always willing to help in whatever way possible she would be there for anyone who needed her without hesitation. Strong in her faith to the end, all who knew her are comforted knowing she has been welcomed by her saviour.
Predeceased by her husband Adriaan, Hermina leaves to cherish her memory sons, Piet (Helen), Evert (Connie), Sid (Belinda) and Tommy (Johanna). Omi was much loved by a long list of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As the last of 10 siblings, she leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, and nephews, including some that were very special to her. Hermina also made friends everywhere she went, she will be missed by many friends in Canada, the USA, and Europe.
Thank you to the staff at Holy Family Home (St. Francis 2C) for their care and compassion over Mom's last few years, she was very well looked after.
Cremation has taken place and a gathering for friends and family is planned for June 2023.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to CancerCare Manitoba or other charity of your choice.

Hi My Mom is Jean Zakaluk. Hermina was her friend at Donwood EPH. They chatted and had tea together. They sat together at the birthday party and other times. They enjoyed chatting, as friends do, and she was sad to hear that Hermina had passed. Take care. Thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. - Posted by: Kathy Mitchell (Friend) on: Mar 21, 2023
