KENNETH STANLEY KAYER
Kenneth Stanley Kayer, aged 82 years, of Teulon, MB passed away on March 19, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Ken was born July 12, 1940 at St. Boniface Hospital, to parents Stan and Martha Kayer, and grew up in Winnipeg's West End, attending Daniel McIntyre High School. Summers were spent at the family farm in Garson, Manitoba.
After meeting in 1965, Ken married his wife Brenda (Johnson) in 1967. The couple enjoyed 55 years of marriage, welcoming three sons, Joel, Paul, and Michael.
Ken began his career as a tinsmith. In order to support a growing family, he transitioned to what became a 29 year career as a letter carrier. A few years after his retirement in 2002, the couple moved to Teulon, MB where Ken spent his golden years enjoying outdoor pursuits, and tending to his yard and gardens.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Stan and Martha, brothers, Edward and Brian, brother-in-law Jim Johnson, as well as beloved pets, Pride, Buttons, Shadow, Cinder and Freebie. He is survived by his wife Brenda, sons, Joel, Paul, and Michael (Bethany), grandchildren, Abigail, Samuel, and Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.

Dear Brenda and family I’m sorry to hear about Ken’s passing. I worked with him for a long time in Charleswood. I always bugged him about his hunting. He was always very friendly and easy to joke around with. - Posted by: Derek (co-worker) on: Apr 04, 2023
