EDWARD BYZIO
After a long and heroic struggle against cancer, Edward Byzio passed away on March 27, 2023. He was 84 years old.
Edward was predeceased by his wife Cecylia, brothers, Jan and Edmund, and sisters, Julia and Mary. He is survived by his sons, Edward and Robert (Krystyna), and granddaughters, Emberly and Mackenna. He is also survived by his sister Helena; nephews, Mark (Barbara), Marek (Ela), Henry (Dorthy), Richard (Patricia), Bernie (Jayann) and Andrzej; and nieces, Elizabeth, Eva, and Lucy (John).
Edward was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1968. He worked as an electrical engineer for many years at Canada Wire & Cable (later Alcatel). Edward loved to tinker in his workshop and could repair nearly every mechanical or electrical device. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his garden.
A funeral service will be held on April 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment of the ashes will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. Live Stream will be available through the Cropo website.
